First Aired August 19, 2023
Community Matters continues its coverage of the Marshall, Michigan-planned Ford BlueOval Battery Park Michigan plant. This time, Richard Piet is joined by attorney Robby Dube, a member of the legal team for the Committee for Marshall-Not the Megasite.
Dube offers an update on a course of events that seemed headed for a delay in the progress of the lawsuit in August 2023. That delay did not eventuate and a hearing was conducted on August 9, 2023. He also discusses what could happen after a decision is brought forth in the case – perhaps sometime in late August 2023.
As well, Dube puts the emphasis of the case on the question of the public’s right to a referendum – not the question of whether the BlueOval plant should be built.
